For a Style.com party recently, I went for a feminine take on the ever popular military trend. It's equal parts ladylike (chiffon blouse, cinched waist, Gucci clutch) and edgy (camouflage print, mini skirt, platform ankle booties). And a bright red lip and nails, plus a sleek ponytail pull the whole thing together for a look that's both polished and current.

When you need to look polished for a holiday gathering, but still want to be comfortable - nothing beats a sweater dress. Whether you're chowing down with friends and family, or dining with folks you need to impress, cozy up to the table in one of these fuzzy frocks... Perfect for concealing a tummy full of turkey!
For a casual evening with girlfriends in the West Village a few weeks ago, I chose a simple yet chic cashmere sweater dress handed down to me by my mother. By adding a pair of funky booties and layered necklaces, the style feels as effortless now as it probably did when my mama wore it first.
With all of the disco era influence of the 1970's coming back around in today's fashion - the best source of inspiration can be found in the originals. So here's to just a few of the style setters who made floppy hats, chunky knits and fur vests essential - the first time around.
If there's one thing that will elevate your look each season - it's a gorgeous bag. Whether you're wearing an uber chic outfit, or just jeans and a T -- toting the right bag will always give you polish. Here are a handful of drool-worthy options from F/W 2010.
For a night out with girlfriends, I had some fun with fringe in this suede Haute Hippie dress with gunmetal detailing. The chunky leather booties helped balance the short length - and the simple arm bangle and large glass ring were the perfect finishing touch.
With animal prints pouncing all over this season's fashion scene - you really can't go wrong with most leopard print accessories. And for that, YSL's latest capsule collection couldn't be more right...
Light colored leopard is a luxurious take on the trend --- and from a printed cashmere shawl to the super chic Rowdy Bag, the latest additions to Yves Saint Laurent are most certainly, spot on.
Alber Elbaz can do no wrong. Case in point? His upcoming collection for H&M.
The quality of the garments may be nowhere near that of Lanvin's main line - but the design is on par with some of Alber's best work. And at the mega retailer's affordable price point ($9.95-$349) it's worth risking quality to get your hands on a Lanvin original.
This is the first time that I have actually been inspired to take part in an H&M collaboration, and am seriously contemplating braving the mania at H&M stores on November 20th. Let the drooling begin...
For a friend's house party recently, I channeled the season's neutral color palette from head to toe. The raw silk material of these shorts make them appropriate for evening, especially paired with a ladylike blouse and demure Mary Janes. These shoes make me happy, but in delicate cream suede - they don't make it out very often...
